Monaco Yacht Show 2026: What Crews and Managers Need to Book Now for September

The Monaco Yacht Show returns to Port Hercule from Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 September 2026 ¹. For captains, crew planners, charter managers and management companies, show week means the fleet, suppliers and buyers share the same stretch of quay for four days. Plan the paperwork now. August is too late.

When and where

The show runs its usual four-day pattern on Port Hercule: 10:00 to 18:30 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday 26 September ².

Wednesday isn't a normal show day. The Dockside Area, where the superyachts and tenders are berthed, is reserved for invited guests and MYS VIP or Prestige VIP pass holders. General visitor access to the dockside runs Thursday through Saturday ². Managers sending clients or owners to see specific yachts should build itineraries around that split, not the headline dates.

Booking berths inside the show

Berthing inside Port Hercule for the show goes through the organiser's own allocation process, not general marina booking. The Dockside Area hosts 120+ superyachts and 60+ luxury tenders ².

If your vessel is being put forward for exhibition, that application needs to go in well ahead of the show. Management companies who leave it until summer are working from a waiting list, not a booking form. Confirm exhibiting status and berth allocation with the organiser as early in the year as possible.

If you're visiting or crewing a non-exhibiting yacht, berth outside the show footprint and use the shuttle and shore transport instead.

Whats new for 2026

The main change this year is on the design side. The show has folded the former Yacht Design & Innovation Hub into a new Designer Gallery, a single space set partly on the rocks of the port and positioned closer to the superyacht and tender docks than in previous years ⁴. Registration and access: what to book, and by when

Tickets are sold online only. No on-site sales ². The pass structure for 2026:

Wednesday-only pass: €400 (Dockside Area excluded) ¹

For crew, the pass that matters is the Captains & Crew (C&C) Lounge access pass. Crew on exhibiting yachts get access through their exhibitor registration automatically ³. Crew on non-exhibiting yachts have to apply separately, through the online form linked from the pass page.

The show doesn't publish a hard cutoff for this application, which is itself a reason not to wait. Get the form in as soon as rosters for show week are set, not the week before. Don't assume access will be granted on the day ³.

Once inside, the lounge opens early. Breakfast runs from 8:30, lunch from 12:00 ⁵, free to captains and crew of exhibiting yachts. As the show puts it: "Your captain has already registered you, just bring your pass." ⁵

Getting the paperwork and provisioning right

A yacht on the Dockside Area is open to inspection by buyers and brokers for four days straight. That changes what "in order" means for crew paperwork. Confirm STCW, ENG1 and flag-state certification currency with your flag administration and training providers well before the show, ideally with a month's buffer built in. Renewals and replacement documents can take longer than expected in late summer, when processing volumes rise ahead of the Mediterranean season's final push.

Insurance needs the same early attention. Check that hull, liability and event-specific cover extends to the show period and to the higher footfall of visitors and press aboard. Confirm with underwriters before Wednesday 23 September, not during show week itself. If the yacht is doing bay tours, or hosting VIP Pass holders (who get a bay tour by boat, pre-registration required), that's exposure beyond a normal berth stay. It needs to be named on the policy, not assumed under general cover.

Galley provisioning needs longer lead times than a standard charter turnaround. Guests, brokers and press move through the yacht all week. Place supplier orders against the show dates themselves, working backward from 23 September, rather than against whatever the vessel's own arrival day happens to be.

Hotel rooms in Monaco during show week go early, and the organiser's own portal, Monaco Check-In, is the recommended booking route ⁶. Waiting for the vessel's full itinerary to be finalised is the single most common reason management teams end up placing crew outside Monaco entirely and running them in by transfer each day. On-site movement is covered by complimentary courtesy cars for Prestige VIP, VIP, Exhibitor Guest and Yacht Owner pass holders. Free electric golf carts run between exhibition areas, and free shuttle boats connect the docks, all operating 10:00 to 18:30 (18:00 on Saturday) ⁶. Factor that into how tightly you schedule back-to-back meetings across the show footprint. The golf carts are useful but they're not instant.
